Using Razorpay Test Cards in Development
Razorpay test mode provides official sandbox cards for simulating domestic card payments, OTP authentication flows, and bank decline errors in Razorpay Standard Checkout.
1. Use Test Mode API Keys
Generate test API keys in your Razorpay Dashboard (starting with rzp_test_) and ensure checkout options use test credentials.
2. Enter Test Card Credentials
Use official test numbers from the table above for Visa, Mastercard, or RuPay. Any future expiration date and any 3-digit CVV are accepted in test mode.
3. Complete Mock Bank Page & OTP
When prompted on the simulated bank redirect page, enter any 4–10 digit OTP or click Success to authorize the payment. Click Failure to simulate bank rejection.
4. Verify Bank Decline & Failure Codes
Use specific test cards to verify failure states: the bank decline card returns card_declined, the balance test card returns insufficient_funds, and OTP failure simulation returns authentication_failed.
